The
two occupants of the vehicle became trapped inside. Speed and driver inexperience are both
factors in this crash. Both driver and
passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle and were transported to Pen Bay
Medical Center.

Crash on Finntown Road in Warren - April 12, 2016
On
April 12, 2016 at 1:37 p.m., the Knox County Sherriff’s Office, along with Warren
Fire & Rescue Departments and Waldoboro EMS, responded to the area of 917
Finntown Road in Warren for a report of a single vehicle crash into a tree. The 17-year-old juvenile operator was driving a 1991
Toyota Corolla, North bound on the Finntown road when the vehicle failed to
negotiate a curve in the roadway. The
vehicle slid off the roadway and sideswiped a large tree, becoming airborne and
crushing part of its roof down.
The operator sustained serious life threatening
injuries as a result of the crash and was listed in critical condition. The 16-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries. The families of those involved were notified. The
names are not being released due to both being juveniles.
