Knox
County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Redmun received a complaint from the Regional
Communications Center at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 11th
regarding a woman possibly driving a vehicle while intoxicated. Information received was that she was
operating in Warren at the time and headed towards Waldoboro. Deputy Redmun was in the area and through
communications with dispatch and the complainant was able to locate the
vehicle.
Deputy
Redmun stopped the alleged vehicle and identified the operator as Brandi
Griffin, 31, of Waldoboro. Based on the
Deputy’s observations and investigation, Ms. Griffin was arrested and charged
with 5 misdemeanors of Operating Under the Influence, Violation of Conditions
of Release, Unlawful Possession of Schedule “Z” Drugs, and due to the fact she
had two young children in the car, she was also charged with two counts of Endangering
the Welfare of a Child.
Griffin remains at Knox County Jail.
