During March, the Maine Sheriff's Association held their annual conference in Portland. Two Knox County Sheriff's Department employees were recognized.
Chief Deputy Tim Carroll was recognized as Manager of the Year.
Detective Dwight Burtis was recognized as Deputy of the Year.
Locally, Deputy Arthur Smith was recognized as the Knox County Deputy of the Year.
