Drug Bust at the Knox County Regional Airport - March 6, 2016

On March 6, 2016, at approximately 3:00 P.M., the Knox County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Maine Violent Crimes Task Force led by the U.S. Marshall’s Office in apprehending two individuals wanted on felony warrants by the State of Pennsylvania. Deputy John Hansen arrested Scotch Hanning (36) from Winfield, PA. and Misty Hollenbach (30) from Lewisburg, PA. at the Knox County Regional Airport in Owls Head.

Subsequent to the arrest, Deputy Hansen and Deputy Marshalls found approximately 115 packets of suspected Heroin and approximately $520.00 in cash on Mr. Hanning and uncovered a loaded hypodermic syringe and several packets of suspected Heroin on Ms. Hollenbach.

Both Ms. Hollenbach and Mr. Hanning were charged with Trafficking a Schedule W Drug. They were transported to the Knox County Jail without incident. Main Drug Enforcement Agency was called in to assist in this case for follow up and continued investigation.
